You sure about that 2200 lb weight Les? Admittedly
when I weighed my old car it had a G60 motor in it,
rollbar, stereo etc, but it tipped the scales at
almost 2600 lbs.
I agree with you about not overspending your limits.
That seems to be the American way now. Used to be, a
bank wouldn't give you a mortgage if the payment was
more than 30% of your monthly income. Now they're
happy to let you leverage yourself to insane levels.
That's the whole reason I'm not in San Diego right
now. I'd love to live there, but to do so would mean
a mortgage of at least double what I have now. It's
just not smart.
I wait till I have the cash, then I buy the toy, hence
the fact I have a 17 year old Porsche in my garage.
The fact it performs to supercar levels has, uh,
nothing to do with it. :-)
