7200 is the fuel cut-off for the 1.8L cars - I believe it's 7000 on the 2.0L.
Do yourself a favor and replace all the valve springs - they won't necessarily break but after 230K miles of compressing and extending, they aren't nearly as strong or fast as they where when new. I replaced the springs in the racecar and was amazed at how much more "power" I found. >________________________________ >From: Chad Rebuck <[email protected]> >To: a2-16v <[email protected]> >Sent: Sunday, November 6, 2011 11:53 AM >Subject: [a2-16v-list] 16v rpm limit > >how high can i safely rev the 16v on stock valve components?
