No one seems to understand the mechanics of the power-to-weight ratio but
that's half the fun.  I've been at track events with my 123hp 1.8l 16v and have
been known to abuse E36 M3s and even the occasional C5 Corvette - not because
the car has tonnes of power but b/c it weighs 2300# with the fat-a&& driver.

As much as I hate to admit it, being an old-fart and everything, but EFI looks
more attractive every day.  I had an MR2 and currently have a Celica, both from
the 80s with EFI.  Sure, it's more complex than the electronic carbuertor that
we call CIS-E but unlike CIS-E, it doesn't require the exorcism of demons to
make it run smoothly.

Forced induction is nice in some applications - both of my street vehicles have
turbos, granted they're mounted to engines that burn oil - lots of oil, by
design, not by neglect, thank you very much.  It's quite amusing to hear the
turbo spool up but it's maddening to wait for boost when the idiot driver
(looks in mirror) doesn't stir the gears properly.
