I keep a Battery Tender Jr. connected to my motorcycle for months at a time and haven't seen any ill effects. IIRC, the big difference between the jr and the larger models is how fast they charge. Otherwise, I think the jr will eventually charge your battery... If it still can hold a charge that is.
