I think VW has been the underdog for young people for a long time. I think Hyundai is getting a lot of attention from the young drivers these days. When I was in my teens in the late 80s it was Corollas, Supras and RX7s that were getting most of the attention around me in NYC. I can still remember seeing my first big body MK2 "Golf" - took me a while to figure out why some of them had round lights and most of them had square lights. I liked the round light ones best, and from then on I was hooked on Deutch cars.
Good to see some young people getting interested in these cars.
