Luck? Having worked in quality control and reliability for over 30 years, I
developed a skepticism for the quality of all things mechanical and
electronic. I used to personally test computer hard drives and power
supplies in the never ending search for a cheaper option. Many times a
manufacturer would submit several samples for testing, and many times a
high percentage, if not all of them wouldn't meet specifications. These
manufacturers included some of the most well known and trusted in their
particular field, as in Seagate Technologies and Western Digital. But I
digress...
