At the moment I'm sure that the improvements are for real.
I agree perfectly about being not a solution of a bug.
I personally prefer to see this workaround in CVS.
I also have the impression that currently(short-time) there is no resources
to re-work this ovr/kad portion of the code , this is the reason I like this
workaround which delays the buffer problem for a week is a good stuff in
CVS.
this week delay is a "deterministic" gain on my system.
