Follow-up Comment #9, patch #7144 (project mldonkey):
The bitstring part of this patch requires raising the minimal Ocaml version
to 3.10.0, due to updated Camlp4.
Therefore committing it will break GTK oldgui compilation which is currently
broken with Ocaml 3.1*, see bug #30830, which I consider a blocker for this
patch. GTK1 oldgui is the fastest GUI available for MLDonkey, test yourself
;)
I am willing to raise the minimum Ocaml version required for MLDonkey to
3.10.0 if bug #30830 is fixed.
Another, more difficult, option would be to make this function optional, like
Emule SUI/CryptoPP, and disable it automatically with Ocaml < 3.1*.
