Yesterday, I made a major change to the seeking and a/v sync code in
the avformat producer in order to improve a/v sync for a more broad
selection of files. It is also improves the performance of seeking on
AVCHD regardless of the consumer rescale interpolation mode and
whether using FFmpeg or Libav.

If you are supporting an application that uses MLT, especially if it
can use the latest git snapshots, then please be on the lookout over
the next few months for regressions. I have done an extensive amount
of testing across a large number of files and various versions of
FFmpeg and Libav. However, please be aware that I am mainly concerned
about regressions at this time, and it may be tempting for people to
associate with this change many other problems! Also, please be aware
that the frame accuracy has changed a little for some files and
formats (e.g., TS capture from live streams with non-zero starting
PTS). I have tried to minimize it as much as possible, but the edits
in some compositions may now be slightly different than before.
However, we have to be able to make improvements.
