Yesterday & day before , I installed Mandrake 8.1 , ( a long story ) Maybe in next few days , I will write an e-mail why and write my pro & contra of installing Mandrake 8.1 Well Mandrake did not regongnize my internal conexant modem , and putted at office's computer as went out with lighting and bought a INTEL chip internal modem ( ambient ) and said it s Linux comptable. Infact I found it on thier web site 's driver http://developer.intel.com/design/modems/welcome/ and downloaded the window's driver & linux 2 drivers ( for versions 2.2.12 to 2.2.18. and for kernel version 2.2.X) which mandrake 8.1 operate 2.4.8-26mdK . Why problem is how to ( steps to ) program to update the latest driver for linux - mandrake ?
