Tone: Calm.
I don't want to sound pessimistic or anything, but Philip does have a
point in saying:
"Or is it that most of the people on the list do not give a damn?"
The committee works for free. Three of the committee members are
E.X.T.R.E.M.E.L.Y busy (Kevin, Andrew, Ramon) and Philip and I are
B.U.S.Y. We don't get paid for what we do (and if you want to know how
much we do, check-out the online minutes). The least we expect is
collaboration from the society.
We thank the people who confirmed they would come. At the same time, the
committee is supposed to guide the group, not do all the work. That's
the whole purpose of a LUG. I am personally very disappointed I have
written a (so far) 40 page document for the Novice User HowTo and only
the committee has given a damn about it. It doesn't encourage me much.
What about the new MLUG logos? Only Philip (again, committee) has
submitted logos. Where are all the others? Is it possible that you all
can't draw?
So, I ask you people. Are we doing anything wrong? Is there some sort of
boycott? Did you all unsubscribe when the list got active? What
happened? We really, really, really want your ideas. We want the LUG
members to collaborate, contribute and generally be active in the LUG!
That's why the LUG was formed in the first place.
Maybe you're all meditating on next Saturday's MEP elections...
Keith
P.S: This is not intended to be a flame, but a wake up call.

Hmmmm ... So much for activities!
I wonder,
Is it the date?
Is it the location?
Or is it that most of the people on the list do not give a damn?
Can we get some response please!!!! HELLO, can you react?!?!?
Philip.

We have decided to hold the meeting regardless of how many people
attend. Bring along your Linux friends!
Time: 15:00
Date: Saturday, 12th June
Place: Buskett Forest
How to get there
------------------------
(in Kevin's words)
Go to buskett and keep driving down the road until you get to the tent.
When you get there, there's only one way out - the narrow road on the
right. Keep driving up that road and until you see the Buskett Forest
restaurant. You're there.

Most people can do without the essentials, but not without the luxuries.
