nVIDIA have just released the their latest drivers, which:
1) works with 4k stack kernels (i.e. it should work with fedora core 2)
2) amongst other things, has a graphical configuration program called
nvidia-settings.
As usual, installation of the driver is a pain in the ass. The new
driver is even more annoying to install:
1) Install the driver as usual
2) Edit /etc/security/console.perms and remove the lines
<dri>=/dev/nvidia* /dev/3dfx* and <xconsole> 0600 <dri> 0600 root
3) chmod 0666 /dev/nvidia*
4) chown root /dev/nvidia*
That should get the driver working well.
