My mum is one of them!!
Quoting Jean Azzopardi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I hear that Merlin is to be selling laptops with Linux pre-installed.
About spectacular apps, the best one I have found so far is Amarok. It never
ceases to amaze...that and synaptic..
About the female friends, I am pretty much resigned that there is no hope of
finding any Linux female users....so what can I do?

Maybe another problem is that there is no hardware reseller on the
island which gives you an option to choose between preinstalled
Windows and Linux. This should be very nice anyway. Especially if they
can provide novice users with a dual boot system.
To Jean:
By the way, I didn't consider the option if you are trying to convince
a female friend. In that case ... I cannot give you a lot of advice,
but I am sure you can find tons of very spectacular applications for
Linux.
I think one of the main disadvantages of the English language is that
99% of the words can be used as both masculine and feminine.
