Hi Joseph, As far as I know you don't need to clone your laptop harddisk to install Ubuntu as a dual-boot system side by side with Windows. You simply need to allow the installer to resize your Windows partition during the installation procedure. If you want to clone your hard disk as a backup plan, then you can "dd" the contents of the whole hard drive to another hard drive. Its a bit crude but it works for me.
I believe there are also commercial tools that do this job with more user interface than dd. -- Raphael On Sat, Jun 28, 2008 at 6:20 AM, joseph <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > I need help to clone my laptop harddisk, so as to install UBUNTU in a > dual-boot configuration.
