Many of you will have read the news that the editor of the students newspaper Ir-Realtà will be facing charges and a possible jail term for publishing a piece (not written by himself) entitled "Li Tkisser Sewwi".

A new group has been set up, "Front Kontra ċ-Ċensura", which is organising a meeting on Friday 15th Jan. I am forwarding this message to the MLUG in case anybody is interested in this event: We might also consider whether MLUG should lend its voice to this organisation. Considering that we're all about "free as in speech" software, I think it stands to reason that we should support literal free speech too. Whaddya think?
