If it is of any help Ray I'll tell you how I install the latest video drivers for your card. First down load the correct driver for your card. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index5.aspx?lang=en-us
Put the driver on your desktop, then reboot your computer into recovery mode. When the message box comes up, select 'start in root'. At the 'Black' screen type > cd / < then 'enter' then cd /home/**name**/Desktop (with a capital D) type > ls < to see your driver details. Type > sh ./ ** and all the drive name details** You will then get the nvidia setup menu just follow the instructions ( read the instructions carefully because some times you have to press 'No' to proceed) On completion type 'reboot' and enter. After the reboot you will have your driver installed. Note: Installing the driver from Ubuntu's 'appearance' menu dose not alway work that why I use the above. The disadvantage is if the kernel is upgrade you have to reinstall the driver again.
