We ran some servers at work on Xen for the past 2 years...It's okeyyyy We ran/run mostly Redhat machines ranging from 5.2 to 5.6. Some stuff was buggy...most linux servers got stuck on starting udev.. during bootup while others had personality conflicts when you tried adding a new cpu causing the mostly to slow down or not boot at all.
We're in the process of migrating to vmware ESXi currently for the greater stability, migratability etc etc On 17 October 2011 18:19, James Azzopardi <[email protected]> wrote: > Unless there are other suggestions, what about > virtualization as topic for next November's > meeting? > > I make use of OpenVZ (http://openvz.org).
