Back in the early 2000's I think it was with the Nick's and Jared and Jimmy and the whole gang back then, we use to have regular meetings. I would love to see it come back alive, and I am willing to help in as much as I can.
I would be willing to setup a meeting at my shop and do a presentation on Linux, LinuxCNC and just Linux in general talking to external hardware components. I can do machine presentations running linux and I am in the process of retrofitting a Huge machine now so you would get to see and interact with the internals of it all. I don’t know if there would be interest in such a meeting but I am willing to do this. Only issue is my shop is in the Repentigny area. Actually it is in L'Assomption which is just east of Repentigny. Is something that might spark some interest of the users? When meetings are held people do show up. There are a bunch of people reading this list. All MLUG needs is one person willing to organize some stuff and it would come back to life. I run the website (such as it is) and would be happy to give admin rights to someone if they would do something with it.
