Bonjour MLUG,
FACIL <https://facil.qc.ca/> has brought online discussion forums using
Discourse, at https://forumsdulibre.quebec/ ("English is welcome", as
usual).
There is now a category for all GNU/Linux distributions at
https://forumsdulibre.quebec/c/logiciel-libre/entraide-gnu-linux.
Several people worked on this and FACIL is actually looking for an
intern <https://facil.qc.ca/stage-admin-sys-2019> to work on maintaining
such similar software on their servers. There has been a transition and
important changes in self-help online resources lately, with several
Facebook groups being abandoned (for obvious reasons), older websites
getting less love (MLUG may be in that category) and in general just
newer nicer resources coming up.
I like to think about it as a friendly, easier way to bring new users
into GNU/Linux distributions and help them, in addition to IRC, mailing
lists and other more traditional spots we know about.
I hope it's useful to someone here, let me know what you think and I can
relay to its admins or just post there.
