Hello,
I wrote a plugin system for mlview 0.8. The branch
is mlview--extensible--0.8, available on the archive at
http://arch.duckcorp.org/happypeng/2005-mlview/.
An example is in tests/firstplugin.c,
tests/firstplugin.xml ; I will also try to write some
documentation about how to write a plugin for MlView and about
the plugin system's internals.
