The Chinese characters should show up OK if you have the correct fonts 
installed.

I'm guessing the OP just tried adding more Chinese vocabulary. 

Apart from Tetris ( :-) ), the different kinds of cards are treated exactly the 
same (namely as a string of text) at the card input stage, so that should not 
make a difference.
