Strange . . . that is the site from which I originally downloaded my copy of TeXshop (& so I assume the rest of MacTex . . . ) and yet mnemosyne does not render for me. could it have to do with where the application is stored on the computer? I'm re-installing MacTex in hopes that that will be the path of least resistance, just trying to understand what may be wrong.
are libpng & libgd required for TexShop? & just out of curiosity, do you use TexShop or another (La)Tex compiler? I don't know any other mac users who use latex (or that I didn't introduce to TexShop!) so am very curious to know if there are better compilers - the process of test-driving them seemed a little daunting and I was concerned about filling up my hd with millions of libraries . . . ! okay, last question: do you know any good sites for learning how to work with (La)Tex 'under the hood' as it were? I'm interested in understanding what's happening / how to change what happens on a lower level . . . Will let you know if MacTex does the trick.
