Not sure what you mean by 'doesn't seem to work'.

If you want to include extra packages, there is a preamble file you
can edit in the latex subdirectory.

Also worth pointing out is that the way Latex integration works, is
that Mnemosyne gets a png from Latex, which it then centers in the
card.

Alignment of text and graphics within a card can be influenced by html
tags, or by editing config.py to enable left align.
