There shouldn't be a big difference in practice.

Here's the deal:

In 1.x, both for scheduled and new/failed cards the default was 4. For
new/failed cards, there was no difference between grades 2-5.

In 2.0, for scheduled cards, the default still is 4. For new/failed cards,
there is now a tiny difference between grades 2-5, and the default grade for
these cards is 2.

So, both in 1.x and 2.x, the default grade corresponds to 'success'.

If this turns out to be a really big deal for many people, I guess the default
for new/failed cards could be changed back to 4, but it will result in
slightly more aggressive scheduling.
