Yes, the recommended way is putting everything in a single database, and then use 'activate cards' and 'saved sets' to create virtual databases. Much more flexible.

Hmmm - I created a new database for 'Fushaah Word of the Day' and synched
it from the silver to the slate laptop, and now I cannot browse cards on
the slate laptop, which is the same problem I still have on the silver
laptop.

Perhaps I should just import them into the default database and add tags?
And if I de-select certain types of cards in the browser, will it only
review only those that are selected? I hope my questions are clear.

Aha! I found it, and will try it again.

And can I just copy/paste the new database for the Arabic word of the day
to the new laptop Mnemosyne folder?

Or when I synch, is it only for the database that is open on the main
computer?

Hi Mr. Peter,

It seems I forgot the username and password for synching between the two
laptops. What do you advise, please? :S

Alright - I unistalled and reinstalled 2,2 on the old laptop - and when
opening the default database, and browse cards, I receive the same error
message that I sent an image of before on December 7th.

Ah, I didn't realise you were still talking about that old error. As I
mailed you privately then, with your database files I could not reproduce
the error on my machine. So I'm not sure what caused it, but I'm glad it's
fixed now.

However, I just re-read the synching instructions and figured it out -
and
it did successfully synch, except the formatting of the fonts (font
name,
size, color) did not seem to copy over;

Yes, I still need to address this. However, if you change the formatting
after the initial sync, the settings will be synced across.

 Thank you again!

You're welcome!

Peter
