I'm afraid there is no simple way of editing the database as you need 
special tools to do so. Other than rating the cards "2 - you barley know 
it", you may give the cards you add a tag so that you can quickly switch to 
them after you are finished with your scheduled cards. And give the your 
own cards that you added a tag via the card browser. Also feel free to 
submit an idea to https://mnemosyne.uservoice.com/ .
