Hi, I don't have access to a Mac, so 'm afraid somebody with access to a Mac should give you step by step instructions.
But in essence, if you've installed latex and dvipng correctly, such that if you start a command line, and are able to type 'latex' and 'dvipng' to start these programs, Mnemosyne should be able to work with Latex without problems.
