I'm glad you have a workable solution.

I misunderstood your previous post: I had thought that you may have had a
way to use Mnemosyne on Vista without the sync error.

I just wanted to synchronise to/from a Vista virtual machine, one of
several on which I planned to run Mnemosyne while studying for the CompTIA
A+ exams. It's not a big problem; the others are Windows 7 and above, so I
will use them instead.
