I wonder if someone could clarify the process of backing-up for me? As I
understand it, there's no way of backing up automatically to the web, so one
needs to back up to a USB drive or something similar. I've gone to what I take
to be the relevant folder at C:\Users\<your user
name>\AppData\Roaming\Mnemosyne and copied this folder to a memory stick. When
I then put this in another computer and click on one of the Default files in
the folder, I'm warned that I'm trying to open a Date Base file and asked which
programme I want to use to open it. I'm not sure where to go from here, or
indeed whether I'm doing the right thing in the first place. And if I am, do I
have to keep copying the Mnemosyne folder to my flash drive every week or so to
ensure that I don't lose too much in the event of my hard-drive crashing? I'd
be most grateful for guidance that will make sense to someone with very little
computer knowledge.
