Hi, Are you absolutely sure the encoding is unicode and not latin1?
Feel free to email me the file privately so I can see what's going on. (although possibly it'll be next week before I can have a look.) Cheers, Peter ________________________________ From: helena...@gmail.com Sent: Wednesday, 29 May 2019 22:48 To: mnemosyne-proj-users Subject: [mnemosyne-proj-users] Unicode Encoding Error - Importing .txt file from Quizlet Hi, I exported a flashcard set from Quizlet using the tab/return formatting and saved it as a .txt file with Unicode-8. However, when I import the cards, I always get this error: 'ascii' codec can't encode character '\xf6' in position 29: ordinal not in range(128) The Unicode character ö is "ö"; when I changed all instances of "ö" in the set to "oe", it had trouble with "ä" instead. When I removed all characters with diaeresis, it stumbled over "â". Clearly it cannot import special Latin characters, but these should be included under Unicode-8. How do I fix this? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mnemosyne-proj-users" group.
