Hello m-f-d,
I wrote a few brief words about better Fennec builds using an Eclipse
plugin at [1]. The relevant ticket will land shortly [2].

This all came together in the last few days, so please, testers wanted.
In particular, folks who tried Eclipse and never got the configuration
to work: try again. The build system should give much better feedback
about its state with the new plugin system.
To be clear, this requires the patches from [2], which haven't landed yet.
Not anymore! I landed this, and I also landed Bug 1014247 [3], which
builds omni.ja from within Eclipse. That is, if you edit
mobile/android/{chrome,modules,etc} (in our out of Eclipse) that will be
caught, a new omni.ja produced, and the Eclipse APK pushed to device
will reflect your changes. Eclipse isn't a great environment for JS
hacking, but the turn-around is fast...
A short screencast is up at https://vimeo.com/99093138.
Yours,
Nick
