This is a much bigger topic than we can adequately cover in a single email — Rabimba was summarizing an hour-long discussion and more! — and I also want to talk to Karen about how she wants to proceed. Of course we are also working to get Fennec smaller; that's Bug 942609. But we can't address many markets if Firefox is over 30MB, and we'd have an easier time below 20MB. That's a significant tension if we try to ship a single product. We're hopeful that we can find a set of choices here that allow us to provide a product targeted at that resource-constrained market without compromising the rest of Fennec's roadmap.
