I'm glad you were able to make use of this quick fix. It's currently on the Discovery Department's roadmap for us to overhaul and improve the search API. However, we've determined our current work gives bigger rewards for our users, so that work isn't planned to take place until mid-2016. In the mean time, the fix makes it work.
