Title: Turning off the mobile phone system in Nepal (Intern)

Hello all,

I am hearing that in the protests in Nepal that the government has turned off the mobile telephone system in hopes of limiting the impact of the protests.  We are all familiar with the use of mobile phones in protests, but as far as I know this is the first time the system has been turned off.

Does anybody know if this is indeed a first?

Rich L.
