More information can be found at http://www.icmg.mgovernment.org/ Session Title: Mobile Society The development of mobile technologies and the spread of their use in all over the world and our daily life presents new challenges for individuals and the society as a whole. These challenges exhibit peculiar characteristics in the way mobile phones are used for communication or in the way they influence certain individual or collective behaviour. It is now inevitable to study the interaction between mobile technologies and the society that we live in. This session aims to bring together existing research, cases and other studies dealing with influence of mobile technologies on society both from positive and negative aspects. There will be a special emphasis on the use of, especially the internet enabled mobile phones and its impact on the society. More specifically it will look into the diffusion of mobility; its use and other roles for communication and convenience; acceptance and reaction of the society and implications for shaping, positively and negatively, our life style and skills. Various socio-psychological and cultural studies are also of significance interest.
