Hi,
A more detailed list of the functions of the various unlabelled buttons.
Once you are on any chat screen:
The main buttons, all of which are unlabelled, are in the bottom
portion of the screen, in a straight horizontal row.
In swiping order, the unlabelled buttons are:
When your edit field is is blank:
leftmost button before the edit box - This button is used to type
Emoticons through Whatsapp. Typing Emoticons through Whatsapp is
inaccessible, and one has to alternatively type them through their
keyboard.
edit box - This is the edit field where you have to type your message.
second last button of the screen after the edit box - This is the
Camera button. Again, the Whatsapp Camera further contains some
unlabelled buttons, and therefore isn't too accessible either.
last button on the rightmost of the screen after the Camera button -
This button is to record voice notes. You have to double tap and long
press on this button, and a beep is played, gesturing you to begin
saying your message. You need to keep your finger long pressed there
itself. When you are done speaking, you release your fingr from the
screen.
When the edit field contains text:
When the edit box contains some text, the Camera button and Record
button disappear, and are replaced by the Send Message button. Once
you are done typing your message in the edit box, you simply doubel
tap on this new Send Message button.
Hope that helps.
