that is cause when building apps there is a flag set in .manifests file regard location on which the app should be installed. like this. compile .manifasts (set app installer flag=0. that means the app can be installed to phone storage or sd card. if set to 1 only phone storage. if set to 2 only sd card very less devs use the set to 2 option as keeping apps on sd card makes it slower to load. regarding how to format sd cardto internal option settings>storage>cardName>moreOptions>format as internal or format as portable. if you format card as internal make backups of data every time as sometimes the card may become unsupported after a ota update or after a hot plug or unplug. and then you need to re format
