For some reasons, these navigational settings don't work in the editing mode in Whatsapp application. ----- Original Message ----- From: Satguru Rathi To: Dedicated AccessIndia list for discussing accessibility of mobile phones and Tabs. Hi, 1. Assign swipe down/up gesture to next/ previous navigation settings. Now, when you need to read text from any app including Messaging, WhatsApp, etc. first change the navigation setting to the desired preference I.E: Character/word/paragraph/line and then read the text by swiping left/right. 2. Same is applicable to editing; first activate the edit field, change the navigation setting to word/line and then move within the edit box to the place where you want to edit by swiping left/right. 3. Can someone guide me on how to read messages from my inbox and messages that I am typing by character / line / paragraph. This query is also applicable to messaging apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. 2. How can I edit my messages while typing. As for now, I only use back space to delete the previous characters. So, if I realize that there is a mistake in the first line, I have to discard my message and retype from the beginning or use back space till I find the mistake even if I am almost done typing the whole long message. 3. How to set the talk back tone to be low while announcing the caller name / number when someone is calling me while ring tone is set to maximum volume. Currently, my talk back uses the volume as set for the ring tone even if my talk back is set to minimum volume. 4. During calls, talk back is also talking. It used to say "screen off", etc. So how to lower that tone while on calls. I use Samsung galaxy a7 with eloquence as my speech engine. Please help. -- Believe in WORK not in LUCK! & Most of all, trust in God but don't be dependent on Him. --- Thanks, Cornelius Lyngdoh.
