I noticed that in Safari (2.0.4) a Deferred will fail and it's errback will fire if the server returns no content. Firefox and IE6 seem to be unfazed by this. I don't know the protocol spec in detail - so this could be a Safari bug.
Still I'm wondering if MochiKit should do something to make the behavior consistent.
