Thanks for replying so fast :) But as I mentioned, I had nothing against caching IE...
Anyhow, I discovered: "The result is then stored away in case another step is added to the callback sequence. Since the Deferred already has a value available, any new callbacks added will be called immediately." (From the documentation) After that I tracked down a bug, which I am fixing now.
