I will check this today. I tried a MC 7710 as well same problem --location-status gives that 3g location is enabled when I try --location-get I get not available. Does the MC 7710 have the same problem as the Ericsson one?

That is expected, because the response is processed by the unsolicited message handlers, so you just get an empty string as return.
