have i heard the low remix record?
oh yeah, it is pretty ok....for a throwaway contract filler for a band stuck
on a major label.....its ok, but honestly, how can you remix low?
the beauty of low is the sheer simplicity of the sounds. to remix the low
seems to be an exercise in futility....low is as near perfect at what they
do as any band right now...are they better than mogwai? no, i have a hard
time with turning music into a competition, they are both good at their
"sound".
the mogwai remix records are great because of the varied approaches to their
songs..i mean come on, hood ,3rd eye foundation, alec empire, arab strap ,
all remixing yr record, one could do much worse...
