one of the best bands around today. no question about it. still relatively
obscure but that ought to change when their new record is released in june.
early reports are calling it record of the year and comparing it to last
year's soft bulletin. regardless, it's the best album i've heard in a long
time. their last one, under the western freeway is pretty freaking fantastic,
too. flaming lips meets sparklehorse meets the pixies meets neil young meets
pavement (and they all get drunk in the back of a pickup truck under the
stars in an orchard in california's great central valley). um, highly
recommeded by this dude.
