hi list,
I'm trying to get ePerl installed and I'm having some problems
debugging the install process.
Platform:
RHLinux 5.2
Perl 5.004m4
Apache 1.3.3
mod_perl (unknown version)
ePerl 2.2 running as nph-eperl (not through mod_perl)
most of the samples included with ePerl don't work and show an error
msg:
Perl runtime error (interpreter rc=2)
it seems to appear in those that need another module (like 'use
CGI'), but I'm not sure at all.
I read as many docs as I could find, and the only pointer I found
was that I should not use Perl with SfIO. But when I did `perl -V | grep
-e "sfio"` what grep found looked like `d_sfio=undef' so I believe that
is not the problem
[as you may notice, I'm not a real unix geek, so, please, have
sympathy for me : I'm not in the compile-flags vodoo yet :-) ]
Any idea or pointer towards a solution will be *****really*****
appreciated.
