Httpd process growing

Hello All!   I'm running Apache 1.3.12 with mod_perl 1.21 in Linux Mandrake 7.0. After some time running my modperl scripts in the webserver I have noticed, using the system utility top, that the httpd processes had grown from 7mb to 30mb each. It's my first script in modperl, and I have no idea about what could be wrong with it. Someone have a tip about what could caused that?   Thanks in advance, Dimas Kotvan
