[Embperl] - non-alpha characters disappearing in %fdat

Can anyone tell me why the '*' is not coming through in the fdat stuff?

Even better, does  anyone know how to allow it?

I assume this is some kind of HTML-escaping for our safety.

I amusing 1.3b2 with the following options:

$optRawInput = 0;
$optDisableTableScan = 2048;
$escmode = 0;
