Yes, a mod_perl dso should work just fine on a commercial apache. In fact
with thanks to Gurusamy Sarathy we almost have a ppm of mod_perl available
for ActivePerl, subject to sorting out a few linking issues. This should
make installing mod_perl on Win32 almost as easy as installing an RPM on
Linux.
(and I'll have AxKit ppm's available too...)
