try taking out the comments, ie "# optional" & "# required" (or just move them to a separate line) - it's worked for me before.. I don't think PerlSetVar recognises the # as the start of a comment. -- J Web Developer Eight Degrees Off Centre http://www.eightdegrees.com.au/
