Hi Tom, Thanks for your help in this issue. Ultimately what I need was Apache with mod_perl only for that I am trying to compile the perl source first. I want mod_perl as dso so that I can make them(Apache&mod_perl) as a binary and can distribute to my users. my doubt is, is it required to build the perl with libperl.so to make the mod_perl work with apache.
Thanks, Bheema. -----Original Message----- From: Tom Schindl [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, May 27, 2004 11:30 AM To: Bheema Rao Merugu, BSC, Ambattur, Chennai Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Could not be able to compile perl 5.6.0 or 5.6.1 or 5.6.2 on AIX 5.2 with GCC Hi, this has nothing to do with mod_perl you should give it a try at perl5porters.
