yes. but on purpose - mime_magic isn't compiled.  such a waste

that got me thinking...

it turns out that my mod_perl httpd.conf was parsing the mime.types file as an apache config include. i really don't know why or how.

i killed it off the the skeleton dir ( which is just the required config files ), and used TypesConfig with a fullpath to the default install. works perfect now.

i'd love to figure out why that was happening though...
